Here you can name your Chao, the fortune teller will suggest a name for you, but you can turn her down and choose your own name. You will then come to a room with doors to many different areas pertaining to your Chao in different ways, the first door on the far right will be the fortune tellers, go to this door with your Chao and press B. Once hatched, pick up your Chao with the B button and exit the garden with him, you will now be in the lobby area, directly opposite the Neutral garden is another doorway, go through here. Or alternatively if you want the quickest and meanest option you can simply pick up and throw the egg for instant hatching. Once you reach the Chao Gardens, visit the only open garden (Neutral), you will find two eggs, hatch one with one of your characters, eggs can be hatched by simply waiting, or sped up by picking them up with the B button, and while still holding B move around the directional stick to massage it and then after about 10-15 seconds doing this it will hatch when put down. Same goes for every character on both the Hero and Dark sides. If you find one in one of Sonic's stages you will then be able to visit the Chao garden any time without a key in the level select mode. To reach the Chao Garden for the first time with a character, you must find the Chao key box in any stage, they're large blue boxes with an outline of a Chao's head on it. Very simple achievement, all you need to do is name your Chao for the first time.
